St Mary's Training provide specialist First Aid Training and Food Safety Training for the day nursery and education sector. With a wide range of experience in this area, we have tailored our training to provide courses for those working with children, infants and babies. Courses can be provided on-site or at our training centre. We are listed on the DMBC Early Years approved list of Paediatric First Aid Training Providers which is the result of new EYfS and Ofsted guidelines.
A concise course aimed at supporting the attendees in providing first aid with confidence and in accordance with current legislation. The day will cover first aid in the workplace, adult basic life support, treatment of bleeding, epilepsy, diabetes and many others. There is a practical assessment and oral questioning throughout the duration of the course. Guidebook and certificate provided.
A two-day training course specifically tailored to those working with children. We provide both practical and theoretical training that is specific to infants aged 0-1 years and children aged 1 year to puberty. Training will facilitate candidates to become confident with the role of paediatric first aider and to assess and react appropriately to emergency situations. There is a practical assessment and oral questioning with an examination at the end. This course is now compulsory to those working with children according to the EYFS. Guidebook and certificate provided.
Candidates will be provided with knowledge in the importance of food safety procedures, safe food handling, managing risks and how to report food safety hazards. Current legislative procedures will be covered and how these impact on the daily running of a kitchen and business. There is a practical assessment and oral questioning with an examination at the end. An extremely valuable course to anyone working where food is created or served. Guidebook and certificate provided.
